Video: Electric Gazelles Are Being Produced In Germany

The Stuttgart-based company ElektroFahrzeuge Stuttgart (EFA-S), which is converting cars from internal combustion engines to electric traction, has launched an electric version of the Gazelle Next. It buys cars from the automaker itself, delivers them to Germany and converts them into electric vehicles.

-
In total, the Germans offer five modifications of electric Gazelles - a flatbed truck with an EFA-S E 35 awning, a version with a composite body E 35 K, a cargo version with a two-row cab E 35 D, an all-metal van E 35 V and a minibus E 35 B. Externally from Russian versions, they differ only in the emblem on the radiator grill.
- An electric motor with a capacity of 150 hp is installed in the place of the internal combustion engine in the Gazelle. (730 Nm), and a lithium-iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 80 kWh is introduced into the frame. The maximum speed is limited at around 88 km / h, and the range without recharging exceeds 200 kilometers. Modifications with a gross weight of 3.5 tons have a carrying capacity of 900 kilograms, and 4.25-ton versions are designed for 1600 kilograms.
- EFA-S did not disclose the cost of the electric Gazelles - it will be named only upon request. The company has been owned by China's Beijing Zhonghuan Investment Management since 2016 and has produced about 200 electric vehicles so far.

In 2016, GAZ Group created a factory electric version of the Gazelle Next van. It is equipped with an 86-horsepower Siemens electric motor and a 49-kilowatt battery, which provides a cruising range of 100 kilometers. An electric van is assembled in small series and costs 6.5 million rubles.
