In the UK, a TeslModel 3 owner's steering wheel unexpectedly came off during a normal trip, although the car was purchased only a month ago. The incident was reported by The New York Post.

• The steering wheel fell off at the very end of the 30-kilometer journey as the owner of the car, Jason Tuatara, turned towards his house. A dangerous breakdown in the Model 3 occurred at low speed, and the owner was able to quickly stop without hitting anyone. By that time, the car's mileage was only 550 kilometers.

• Tesl responded to the British message and took the car for repair. The sedan was returned to the owner the next day with the steering wheel fixed. For some reason, the electric car was missing the main bolt connection. The company proceeded to verify the incident. The UK vehicle standardization agency has also begun its investigation.
• The TeslModel 3 sedan was supposed to be delivered to Jason in October 2019, but due to logistics problems, the owner received the car only at the end of March.
