In total, 3 million cars have been sold since the beginning of the year - minus 40%.

Among the major markets, the UK, Spain and Italy were the hardest hit, with sales almost completely halted in these countries. The French car market has shrunk by 89%. In Germany, for which April, even taking into account quarantine measures, turned out to be quite favorable, the drop was only 61 percent.
The smallest losses were recorded in Denmark, Finland and Sweden. In Finland and Sweden, restrictions on coronavirus are generally quite loyal, and Denmark became one of the first countries in Europe to declare quarantine. Therefore, already at the end of March, restrictions in this country began to be gradually removed.
LMC Automotive experts believe that sales in Europe will begin to recover in May. By the end of the year, sales are expected to exceed 9 million units. This is 37% less than it was implemented in 2019.
