  • A software malfunction of the automatic braking system has been identified on seven Volvo models. Because of this, in some situations, it does not detect an obstacle and does not activate when necessary. All recalled vehicles will have their autobraking system firmware updated free of charge.
  • Volvo is recalling 736,430 vehicles worldwide because of this problem. The company clarified that at the moment it is not known about a single accident with the victims, which occurred due to a malfunction of the automatic braking system.
