Video: Premiere Of 1000-horsepower Electric Pickup Hummer Postponed Yes, Due To Coronavirus

Concern General Motors canceled the presentation of the revived Hummer, scheduled for May 20. The reason is the coronavirus pandemic. As a consolation, a second image of the new product has been published - it confirms the information about the four removable roof panels that the pickup will have. They fold into the front trunk of the electric vehicle.

- The Hummer name will be given to a pickup with an all-electric power plant. The top version will develop about 1000 horsepower. It will be able to accelerate to 60 mph (97 km / h) in three seconds, and the range without recharging will exceed 400 miles (644 kilometers).
- The electric pickup will be branded as GMC and sold through the brand's dealerships. The Hammer will not become a separate brand, as in 1992–2010, but a family of electric vehicles, in which an SUV will also appear later.
-
The new date for the premiere of the GMC Hummer EV will be announced later. According to the original plan, the electric pickup should go on sale in the fall of 2021. However, the start may be postponed to a later date.
