

In the first quarter of 2020, Russian dealers sold 221.7 thousand new passenger cars with automatic transmissions, where we include traditional “automatic machines”, variators and “robots”. This is 2.3% more than in the first quarter of 2019. The share of cars with two pedals reached 61% (plus 1.6 points). We made a rating of the most popular models.

Lad dealers sold 8.2 thousand cars equipped with automatic transmission, which is 42% more than in January-March 2019. The share in the total sales of the company reached 9.8% (plus 2.8 points). The most popular model with an automatic transmission is Vesta: sales of the flagship grew by 78%, to 4.6 thousand cars. Every sixth sold Vesta had two pedals, but the vast majority of them (3.8 thousand units) - with a variator.
LadGrant was chosen automatically by 2.4 thousand people (minus 14.6%). Another 1.2 thousand customers purchased the "automatic" Xray, which is 3.5 times more than last year.
In just 3 months, 364,400 new passenger cars were purchased in Russia, which is 0.3% less than a year ago. Of these, 46% - with a classic "automatic", 38% - with a manual transmission, 11% - with a variator, 5% - with a robotic transmission.
