The rally modification of the "five" Zhiguli in the 1980s was produced by the Vilnius Vehicle Factory (VFTS). Cars were delivered to Lithuania from Togliatti fully assembled, where they were first disassembled and then assembled using new parts. In the 80s, Lad2105 VFTS won numerous rally stages in the category of cars with an engine up to two liters.
