Russians Bought The Most In The & Nbsp; World Of Renault Cars

Renault announced that in the first quarter of 2020 Russia became the largest market for the automaker for the first time, overtaking even France. This follows from the financial statements of the company.

• Total sales of Renault including the Lada brand, which is part of the French group, in the first three months of 2020 amounted to 115,713 vehicles (market share 29.04%). During the same time in France, the total sales of Renault, budget Daci and Alpine sports cars reached only 110,467 units (market share of 24.38%).
• This is due to the fact that in the first quarter the European market for new cars contracted by 26.2%, while the Russian market grew by 4% over the same period. Sales of the Renault group fell even more in Europe - by 36%, while in Russia they remained at the same level.

• The reason for the sharp decline in sales in Europe was the restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. In Russia, they were introduced only at the end of March. Separately, the financial report mentions good demand for the Arkan coupe-crossover - thanks to it, sales increased by 9.2%, which became a record among other countries.
