Video: AvtoVAZ Will Suspend The Release Of Vesta And & Nbsp; Will Reduce The Working Week
On April 27, AvtoVAZ will stop production in Izhevsk, where the LadVesta family is being produced. According to Interfax, this is due to a shortage of components.
- Downtime will last until April 30, and after the May holidays, the Izhevsk plant will go on a previously planned vacation. Work will resume after the restoration of the supply of components, but when this will happen is still unknown. During a production shutdown, employees will receive 2/3 of their wages.
- In addition, AvtoVAZ signed a decree on the transition of the enterprise to a four-day working week from June 29, 2020. This is due to the expected decline in new car sales. In this case, workers' wages will be cut by 20, not 33 percent. So far, the decision is preliminary, and if the market situation improves, the five-day work week will remain.
On March 28, AvtoVAZ had to stop production of cars due to the introduction of a non-working day regime in Russia to combat the spread of coronavirus. Later, the authorities of the Samara region and the Udmurt Republic allowed the company to operate in compliance with sanitary standards and safety measures, after which the factories resumed production on April 13.
