Ford Performance has built a new version of the Mustang CobrJet coupe designed for professional drag racing. For the first time, the model received an all-electric power plant.
The output of the electric motor Ford Mustang CobrJet 1400 exceeds 1420 hp. and 1491 Nm of torque. According to calculations, the dragster should travel the standard quarter mile (402 meters) in about eight seconds and reach speeds of over 274 km / h at the exit.

- Ford Mustang CobrJet 1400 is a prototype built in a single copy. It was made to study the capabilities of an electric power plant in drag. The debut of the electric car in racing will take place at the end of 2020.
In 2018, Chevrolet teamed up with the Hancock and Lane Racing team to build the eCOPO Camaro electric dragster. He received two electric motors BorgWarner HVH 250-150 with a total capacity of 710 hp.
