Dealership Ki in the US state of Connecticut put up for sale the first prototype of the Pontiac Banshee, which never became serial. The 1964 coupe costs $ 750,000 (56 million rubles). This is the final cost, taking into account a discount of $ 3950 (300 thousand rubles).

-
The author of Pontiac Banshee is engineer John DeLorean, who became president of the company a year after the prototype was created. He came up with a coupe to fight the Ford Mustang, but General Motors did not approve of the project, fearing that the novelty would take customers away from the Chevrolet Corvette.
- Later, General Motors used the developments of Pontiac to create the third generation Corvette, released in 1968. Banshee was planned to be destroyed, but an employee of the concern was able to agree on the purchase of a unique car and kept it until his death in 2006, after which the coupe hit the market.
- The first Pontiac Banshee prototype is built on a redesigned Tempest chassis and has a fiberglass body. An in-line "six" 3.8 and a four-speed "mechanics" are installed under the hood. In its entire life, the car traveled only 1498 miles (2411 kilometers).
