In Irkutsk, police found five cars that have been stolen for many years. The record holder was the ToyotLand Cruiser 100 SUV, stolen in Moscow in 2002. This was reported by the local department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

• Among the cars found there are also Toyot Corollas and Lexus (model not specified), stolen in Moscow eleven and ten years ago, respectively. Two more Lexus, kidnapped in Novosibirsk and Irkutsk, have been on the federal wanted list since 2011 and 2013.
• Traffic police officers discovered the criminal history of five cars when checking the unit numbers during the registration of cars. Later, the fact of theft was confirmed in the forensic center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
• With the help of the employees of the Irkutsk branch of Interpol and the Japanese police, it was possible to establish the legitimate owners of the stolen cars. They will be given the cars after the completion of the investigative actions.
