Video: Right-hand Drive "Volga" Is Sold In Great Britain For 3.7 Million Rubles
In the UK, a 1963 right-hand drive GAZ-21P was put up for sale. For one of the rarest modifications of the Volga, they ask for 40,000 pounds (3.7 million rubles).
The seller claims that less than a hundred right-hand drive "Volgas" were produced in total, and now only seven surviving cars are known. The GAZ-21P version has survived in two copies. This car was used in advertising filming and still has the original license plates.
- Now the GAZ-21P is in a deplorable state, despite the fact that the car was once repainted. The body and bumpers are rusty and the seat upholstery is badly torn. The odometer reads 79,334 miles (127,676 kilometers).
- Technically, the Volga remained in its original condition. It is equipped with a 2.4 gasoline engine with 80 hp. and three-stage "mechanics". On right-hand drive versions, the gear lever is not mounted on the steering column, but on the floor.
At the beginning of the year, another rare Volga 21, which was located in Yekaterinburg, was being sold on Avto.ru. For a re-export sedan with a 2.3-liter diesel engine Rover asked 5.5 million rubles.
