Video: MINI Hatchback Was Torn Apart And Turned Into A Racing Simulator

The American from Salt Lake City decided to build the most realistic racing simulator. To do this, he bought a 2005 MINI Cooper S with a broken engine and turned it into a piece of home furnishings. This was reported by the Motor Authority edition.

-
Brent Cheney was looking for a car for the project that would not have to be extensively altered. MINI fit perfectly thanks to its compact dimensions and almost vertical body pillars. To carry the Cooper S into the basement, Cheney sawed the hatchback into eight small pieces and then welded it back together on site.
- Instead of a windshield, Brent installed a 49-inch Samsung curved monitor, and in the cabin he put expensive Fanatec steering wheel and pedals along with Harman / Kardon speakers. Under the hood, in place of the engine, there are parts of a gaming computer with a powerful NvidiGeForce RTX 2080 graphics card.
- Brent Cheney bought the broken MINI Cooper S for $ 1000 (73 thousand rubles), bargaining for half of the requested amount. He later returned the money by successfully selling the gearbox and suspension parts. As a result, the entire project took the American six weeks and $ 6,500 (480,000 rubles).
