The Most Popular Foreign Cars In Russia Named

At the beginning of 2020, there were 28,141,400 passenger cars of 98 foreign brands in the Russian vehicle fleet. Over the year, the number of foreign cars increased by 4.4%. We found out which foreign cars are the most on the roads of Russia.

The average age of cars in Russia for 12 months increased from 13.9 years to 14.3 years. The age of 19 brands of cars has increased by a year or more, and another 9 brands have become "younger".

The five oldest brands included the long-forgotten LuAZ (29 years old), Tatr (28.5 years), Asia, Isuzu and Lanci (25 years each). Among the current and most popular brands, the oldest car fleet is at Audi and Toyot (17 years old), Mitsubishi and Nissan (14.5 years each), Volkswagen (14 years old).

Mostly premium and luxury brands have become younger or barely aged. For example, the average age of BMW, Jaguar, Maserati, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce has decreased by 1–5 months.

Among the mass brands, the most popular brands in Russia - Kia, Skoda, Volkswagen - have added age less than others. And the youngest brands in the park are DS, Genesis, Haval and Zotye - all of them are on average less than two years old.
