The program of the main state exam (OGE) in mathematics, which is taken by ninth-graders, introduced new problems on the automotive theme. As Ivan Yashchenko, head of the federal group of USE developers in mathematics, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Russian schoolchildren need, for example, to be able to calculate the cost of a compulsory insurance policy.
- Examples of tasks that will appear on the OGE have already been published. They contain a table of bonus-malus coefficients (KMB), which affects the price of compulsory motor third party liability insurance. With its help, schoolchildren need to determine the size of the KMB for the driver, the class of insurance, and also calculate the total cost of the policy.
- In addition, there are tasks for calculating excess speed. For example, you need to find out if a driver who is driving on a road with cameras that measure the average speed of movement is breaking.
- Yashchenko noted that the exam should be close to reality, and the tasks should be as vital as possible. According to him, the student must not only know the formulas, but also be able to apply them in practice.
