After the appearance on the Web of images of unique concepts and prototypes of GAZ, which are stored in a hangar at the Gorky Automobile Plant, representatives of the plant reported that unique cars will be restored. As it became known to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", this will happen after the reconstruction of the museum of the brand.

Now the cars are standing under a thick layer of dust and with flat tires on the territory of the Department of Design and Experimental Works (UKER GAZ). All copies were created between 1996 and 2006.
- Among the abandoned vehicles are the GAZ-3120 Kombat off-road vehicles stylized as the classic GAZ-69, the GAZ-3106 Ataman-2 with a retro look, the GAZ-3106 and the civilian version of the Tiger-2 model. Also forgotten in the hangar are the all-wheel drive sedan GAZ-3104, the GAZ-2308 Ataman pickup truck, the four-door GAZ-3115 with rear wheel drive and the GAZ-2332 CityVan van.
- Completion of work in the museum of the Gorky Automobile Plant is scheduled for the end of 2020, after which the exposition will almost double. It will include the vehicles listed above. At the moment, the GAZ Museum presents mainly serial models of the brand, produced from the 1930s to the 1990s.
