In addition to a sketch of the next generation Amarok pickup, Volkswagen has unveiled a new teaser for the Nivus compact coupe-crossover developed by the Brazilian division at its annual press conference. After presenting the image, the automaker announced that the model will go on sale in Europe in 2021 - after it will be assembled at one of the brand's factories.



- The front end of the Volkswagen Nivus is reminiscent of the Russian Polo, which recently became a liftback. Also, the crossover with a sloping roof has wheel arch linings and large lights that go over the trunk lid. The equipment of the model will include LED optics, a digital instrument panel and a large monitor of the multimedia system.

Volkswagen Nivus will be built on the MQB-A0 platform, on which the T-Cross crossover is also made. Models on this chassis are equipped with rear drum brakes in initial versions and front-wheel drive only.
- The Nivus premiere date is still under wraps. It is only known that the production of the coupe-crossover will begin in May 2020 at the Volkswagen plant in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil.
