Video: The Next VW Amarok Will Be Similar To The Lada

Volkswagen at a press conference following the results of 2019 presented a sketch of the second generation Amarok pickup. From the picture, the decorative elements at the front of the body create an X-shape. Almost the same as the modern Lad and Mitsubishi models.

- The new generation Amarok will be one of the first models to be created in partnership with Ford. In 2019, an agreement was signed under which the American automaker began developing a midsize pickup truck to replace the current Ford Ranger and Volkswagen Amarok.
- Volkswagen's COO Ralph Branstatter previously said the second-generation Amarok will not be powered by hybrid or all-electric powertrains. Instead, he will receive Ford gasoline and diesel turbo engines.
- The new Volkswagen Amarok and Ford Ranger will go on sale only in 2022. They will be sold all over the world, while the German pickup is currently not on the North American market.
