The Most Expensive Audi Model Reaches Russia

Audi has begun accepting orders for its most expensive model in Russia, the S8 sedan. It is equipped with a 4.0 V8 biturbo engine with an output of 571 hp. (800 Nm), eight-speed "automatic", 48-volt starter-generator and permanent all-wheel drive. To "hundreds" of Audi S8 accelerates in 3.8 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 250 km / h.

The new Audi S8 is sold only with a standard wheelbase of 2998 millimeters, while the competitors have the most powerful engines available only for extended versions. BMW M760Li with 609-horsepower 6.6 V12 accelerates to 100 km / h in the same 3.8 seconds and costs 11,740,000 rubles, and 612-horsepower Mercedes-AMG S 63 L with 4.0 V8 needs only 3, 5 seconds. It costs 11,060,000 rubles.

• The standard equipment of the Audi S8 includes 20-inch wheels, full-steering chassis, active rear differential and active suspension with electromechanical drives that can raise and lower each wheel separately. There are also door closers, all-round cameras, a Bang & Olufsen audio system with active noise cancellation and leather interior trim.

• The list of options includes, for example, 21-inch wheels, carbon-ceramic brake discs (420 millimeters in diameter at the front and 370 millimeters at the rear) and laser headlights with 138 LEDs in each headlight.
