Mercedes-Benz has begun testing the electric vehicle EQE - a competitor to TeslModel S - on public roads. Photos of the fully camouflaged prototype were published by Motor1.

In proportions, the new electric car resembles the flagship EQS. At the same time, the dimensions of the EQE are close to the current Mercedes-Benz E-class.
- The Mercedes-Benz EQE, which carries the in-house code V295, is rumored to be built on the MEA platform designed specifically for electric vehicles. Thanks to its large wheelbase, the electric E-Class will be comparable to the current S-Class in terms of interior space.
- EQE will receive two modifications - with rear-wheel drive and one electric motor, as well as all-wheel drive with two motors. The power of the top version will exceed 400 hp, and without recharging the electric car will be able to drive 600 kilometers.
Mercedes-Benz EQE will be presented no earlier than 2022. At the same time, the soplatform EQS will debut before the end of 2020.
