Video: Moscow Auto Show Is Under & Nbsp; Threat Of Disruption Due To & Nbsp; Coronavirus

The Moscow International Automobile Salon (MIAS) may not take place in 2020. As it became known to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", the decision to hold the exhibition will be taken by the end of spring.
- The director of MIAS, Pyotr Tutarashvili, called the main reason for the possible cancellation of the coronavirus: automakers may not have time to prepare exhibition samples. It is also possible that the restrictions on visiting Russia for people from countries where the epidemic is declared is not excluded. International economic forums in Sochi and St. Petersburg have already been canceled.
- Also, MIAS may not take place due to the fall of the Russian car market. In February 2020, sales of new passenger cars decreased by 2.2 percent - to 119,073 cars. This situation may continue due to the decline in oil prices and the weakening of the ruble.
-
MIAS is held every two years. This time it should take place from August 26 to September 6. At the same time, in the calendar of events of the Crocus Expo exhibition center, where the auto show is traditionally held, these dates remain free.
