Video: VW's Rear-wheel Drive Electric Crossover Will Be Serial Before The End Of 2020

Volkswagen has revealed some details about its first all-electric crossover, dubbed the ID.4. Sales of the model will begin before the end of 2020.

-
Initially, the electric SUV will be offered with rear-wheel drive only, with an all-wheel drive modification coming later. The ID.4 has a maximum range of 500 kilometers.
- Like the first electric car of the ID line, the ID.3 hatchback, which debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the fall of 2019, the novelty was built on the MEB modular platform, created specifically for electric cars. The battery pack for such vehicles is located in the central part of the chassis, under the floor of the passenger compartment, which allows the center of mass to be lowered.
- It is also known that the Volkswagen ID.4 will receive a fully digital dashboard, multiple touch panels and an advanced voice assistant.
- Volkswagen's first electric crossover will be produced in Europe, China and the United States.
