A coupe-like version of the Volkswagen Tiguan crossover has been spotted in China. Photos of the camouflaged prototype were published by the local edition of Autohome.

- The coupe-crossover will receive a front end with an enlarged grille from the restyled Tiguan, which will be presented in the near future. The novelty will differ from the base model with a collapsed roof and a redesigned rear end.
- Technically, the coupe-crossover will mimic the standard Tiguan. It is possible that he will also receive an R-version with a 333-horsepower two-liter "turbo four".

Volkswagen has already registered the Tiguan X trademark in China - this is what the new product will be called. In 2019, the Teramont X made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, which was also a coupe-like version of the standard crossover.
The date of the premiere of the Volkswagen Tiguan X has not yet been announced. It is also unknown if the model will be offered in other markets.
