The Czechs Turned UAZ Hunter Into A Right-hand Drive Electric Car

The Czech firm MW Motors has developed a special version of the UAZ Hunter SUV with a right-hand drive and an all-electric power plant, which will be supplied to the UK. The novelty was named MWM Spartan.

• Externally, the MWM Spartan is no different from an ordinary UAZ, and only a digital speedometer appeared in the cabin. At the same time, an electric motor is installed in the place of the gasoline engine, but its power has not yet been announced. Depending on the version, batteries with a capacity of 56 to 90 kWh are offered. All-wheel drive with a rigidly connected front axle and a reduction gear remained unchanged.
• MW Motors plans to make Russian SUVs right-hand drive with both gasoline and electric motors. The company is counting on demand from farmers, forestry workers and mining companies.
• The assembly of right-hand drive hunters will be established in the Czech Republic. The first batch of gasoline-powered MWM Spartans will be shipped to the UK in the second quarter, while both right-hand drive and left-hand drive electric SUVs will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2020. It is also planned to establish supplies to Japan, the countries of Southeast Asia and South Africa.
