Large Crossover Chery Caught Up In Price With Skoda Kodiaq

On the Russian market on March 1, sales of the Chery Tiggo 8 crossover, built on the T1X platform, which was developed in conjunction with Jaguar Land Rover, will begin. At first, the model will be offered only in the maximum configuration Prestige with a seven-seater saloon at a price of 1,699,000 rubles.

For comparison: the basic crossover SkodKodiaq, close in size to the Tiggo 8, costs less - 1,459,000 rubles. However, for this price, the car is available with a 1.4-liter turbo engine with 125 hp, six-speed "mechanics" and five seats in the cabin. For a seven-seater Czech crossover with a 150-horsepower engine and a "robot" with two clutches, you will have to pay at least 1,723,400 rubles.

• In Russia, Chery Tiggo 8 is available only with front-wheel drive and a two-liter petrol turbo engine with 170 hp. (250 Nm). The engine runs on AI-92 gasoline and is combined with a variator.
• The top version of the Prestige has 18-inch wheels, LED optics, six airbags, a keyless entry system, an electric tailgate, heated windshield and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and multimedia with a 10.25-inch touchscreen.

• Later, the Tiggo 8 will be on sale in the basic Active configuration (only it does not have a third row of seats) and in the middle Family. Such crossovers are devoid of all-round cameras, heated second-row seats and leather interior.
