Updated Hyundai I30: Different Appearance And Several New Engines

Hyundai has officially unveiled the restyled i30 family, which includes a hatchback, station wagon and liftback. The model has changed in appearance and received several new engines. Her public debut will take place at the Geneva Motor Show.

• The 1.4-liter petrol engines (100 hp aspirated and 140 hp turbo) are no longer available. They were replaced by four-cylinder 1.5 units: naturally aspirated with 110 hp. and turbocharged 160 forces. They are combined with a six-speed "mechanics", and the most powerful is also paired with a 48-volt starter-generator.
• Liter gasoline "turbo-engine" with a return of 120 hp. remained in the range, and the 1.6-liter turbodiesel lost the base version with a capacity of 95 hp. and is now available in versions for 115 or 136 forces. Both engines are paired with a six-speed "mechanics" or a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches. Optionally, these modifications can be retrofitted with a 48-volt mild hybrid system.
• The updated Hyundai i30 also received optics with LED V-shaped running lights, an extended grille, bumpers with a more aggressive design and new wheels with a diameter of 16 to 18 inches. As before, the model is offered in standard and sporty N Line versions. The latter is now available for all body types.

• Inside the restyled i30, a dashboard with a seven-inch screen replacing the speedometer and wireless charging for smartphones appeared, and the diagonal of the multimedia system display has increased from eight to 10.25 inches. The list of electronic assistants has been supplemented with lane keeping and collision avoidance systems with cars in the blind spot and behind, as well as a warning function when the car starts moving in front. The automatic braking system now recognizes not only pedestrians, but also cyclists.

In Europe, sales of the restyled Hyundai i30 family will begin in the summer. On the Russian market, the hatchback is presented only in the "charged" N-version, which will be updated later. Now the initial cost of a 249-horsepower hot hatch is 2,200,000 rubles.
