

According to Avto.ru, 1 million 636 thousand passenger cars were sold in Russia in 2019, and most of them are front-wheel drive. However, the share of cars with four drive wheels for the year increased by 1.2 points - up to 34.6%. In just 12 months, 565.9 thousand four-wheel drive vehicles were sold in Russia. We chose 10 models with the most sales of all-wheel drive modifications. The rating did not include cars without mono-drive modifications.

Among the models that are on sale all-wheel drive only, Lad4x4 (31.9 thousand cars, minus 3.1%), Chevrolet Niv (22 thousand, minus 24.8%), ToyotLand Cruiser Prado (15.1 thousand, minus 13.9%), UAZ Patriot (15.1 thousand, minus 2%) and Hyundai SantFe (11.5 thousand units, plus 34.3%).
The share of all-wheel drive cars, excluding pickups and models of the SUV segment, increased by 0.4 points - up to 7%: 39.4 thousand cars were sold. The leaders here are premium German sedans: BMW 5-series (5.8 thousand units, 79.7% share) and Mercedes-Benz E-class (5.5 thousand, 65.6% share).
The share of front-wheel drive models decreased to 64.4% (minus 0.9 points, 1.054 million units), and rear-wheel drive cars occupy only 1% of the market (minus 0.2 points, 16.4 thousand units in 2019).
