Volkswagen promised to present the new generation Caddy family by the end of February, but Auto Motor und Sport has already managed to get several photos of the model before the official presentation.

- For the first time in 17 years, the Volkswagen Caddy received a completely new body and switched to the modular MQB platform. A plug appeared in front of the headlights instead of a radiator grill, and all air intakes were moved down. A large glass is installed on the tailgate of the passenger version, and vertical LED lights are located on the sides of it.

The interior can only be seen on official sketches so far. Like the new Volkswagen Golf, the Caddy has a small automatic transmission joystick, and the digital instrument cluster and multimedia display are mounted next to each other. Above them there is an open shelf for things.
- With the change of generation, the Volkswagen Caddy retained two wheelbase options, as well as a cargo and passenger version. The novelty has received many active safety systems and electronic assistants, including adaptive cruise control and the function of remotely monitoring the state of the car via a computer or smartphone.
