Jaguar And Land Rover Create An Unmanned Shuttle

The British company Jaguar Land Rover has shown the Project Vector electric shuttle with autopilot, which bears the emblems of both brands at once. Its trials will start at the end of 2021 on the regular roads of the city of Coventry, where the company's headquarters is located.

• The four-meter shuttle with sliding doors on the sides is made as symmetrical as possible. The electric motor, traction battery and related parts are installed under the passenger compartment floor. A temporary rudder and pedals are mounted inside for testers, which must be removed later.
• The unmanned Project Vector was created in partnership with the National Automotive Innovation Center (NAIC) and other partner companies. It was developed as part of the Destination Zero program, which aims to build safe electric vehicles of the future.
• According to the creators, the shuttle can be used as a personal transport, and it may also be of interest to courier services and shared travel services. Jaguar Land Rover has not yet talked about the timing of the launch of serial production of Project Vector.
