Video: The Classic Porsche 911 Has Been Turned Into A Very Strange SUV. And Decided To Sell

A 1969 Porsche 911 prepared for off-road conquest was auctioned on eBay. The SUV coupe is located in Mascott, Florida. The auction rate at the time of publication was only $ 23,700 (RUB 1.5 million).

The rugged 911-based SUV-buggy was built by the American studio Smash Customs for the SEMA-2017 tuning show. The classic coupe received reinforced rims with 30-inch off-road tires outside the body, a new suspension with two shock absorbers per wheel, matte paint (the same color as the B-2 Stealth bomber), LED lighting and a roof rack for a spare tire.
- In the cabin, only the windshield protects from the wind - all the others are removed. A roll cage and racing seats are installed to protect the driver and passenger. Other improvements - an almost square sports steering wheel and radio - more modern than the car itself.
- Instead of the native engine, the Porsche 911 has a 2.3-liter four-cylinder boxer from Volkswagen. After improvements, it gives out about 200 forces. All power goes to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
- The seller claims that the car behaves well off-road. Despite many changes, the off-road Porsche 911 remains legal and can be driven on normal roads.
