Video: Great Wall Hover Returned To Russia Again. Now This Model Is Assembled In Tula

The production of the H5 frame SUV has begun at the Haval plant in the Tula region. The new name hides the well-known Great Wall Hover on the Russian market. Photos of the finished car were posted on his Instagram by Pavel Shelenev.

Judging by these pictures, the Russian Haval H5 will differ from the Chinese model of the same name, which looks more like the Hover H3 model. In Russia, they will sell an SUV with the appearance of the Great Wall Hover in the H5 modification, which was offered on the domestic market from 2011 to 2014. Then the SUV was equipped with a choice of a gasoline aspirated 2.4 with a capacity of 136 hp. or a two-liter turbodiesel for 150 forces.
According to the portal "Chinese Cars", the assembly of the Haval H5 at the Tula plant is carried out by SKD with minimal localization. The official presentation of the model will take place in April, and Russian dealers will have SUVs by the end of the first half of 2020.

Great Wall Hover was sold in Russia from 2005 to 2015. Five years ago, Great Wall decided to develop the premium brand Haval in our market and took the SUV off the market. Later, in 2017, it was offered for some time under the name DW Hower: the model was assembled under license at the Derways plant in Karachay-Cherkessia for only a year.
