Chrysler Pacifica Minivan Gets All-wheel Drive

The premiere of the updated Chrysler Pacifica minivan took place in Chicago. The model not only changed in appearance, but also received an optional all-wheel drive.

• The all-wheel drive transmission is equipped with a multi-plate clutch that connects the rear wheels when slipping, pressing the gas pedal sharply, and also when the wipers are turned on. Chrysler Pacific with all-wheel drive is characterized by an increased ground clearance from 131 to 151 millimeters and a stabilizer bar at the rear.
• The minivan received a large mesh grille, smaller headlights, new bumpers and lights, connected by a diode strip. The model also has a top version of the Pinnacle - the name of the luxury equipment is placed on the front doors, and its equipment has quilted Nappa leather seats, branded seat cushions and a box-armrest for rear passengers.
• The screen of the Chrysler Pacific multimedia system has increased from 8.3 to 10.1 inches, the complex has received the Amazon Alexa voice assistant, and the number of USB ports in the minivan has reached 12 pieces. Also added is an internal FamCam camera for watching passengers in the second and third rows. The picture is displayed on the multimedia display.

• The minivan is still offered with a 3.6 V6 aspirated petrol with 291 hp. (345 Nm) and a 264-horsepower hybrid plant with the same, but derated engine and two electric motors. All-wheel drive is only available for the most powerful version.

In the United States, taking orders for the updated Chrysler Pacific will begin in the third quarter, with commercial vehicles arriving at the end of 2020. The minivan is the only model of the brand available in Russia. The model costs 4,189,000 rubles.
