Toyota Made The New Highlander Sportier

At the Chicago Auto Show, Toyot unveiled the fourth-generation XSE Highlander. In the United States with this name, "sports" versions of other models are offered. The Highlander of the previous generation did not have such an option.

• The Highlander XSE gets two-tone 20-inch wheels, a new front bumper with a large air intake, a mesh grille, tinted headlights, side skirts and a pair of exhaust pipes.
• There are not many changes in the interior of the XSE version. There are only decorative trims for carbon and an optional combined trim in red and black leather.
• However, there are changes in technique. The crossover got a "sports" suspension with rebuilt shock absorbers, springs and a thick rear stabilizer bar. In addition, the electric power steering has been reprogrammed.
• The "sporty" Highlander is only available with a direct injection 3.5-liter V6 petrol with 299 hp. (357 Nm). Paired with a naturally aspirated engine is an eight-speed "automatic". The crossover can be front- or all-wheel drive.

ToyotHighlander XSE will appear at American dealers in the fall of 2020. In Russia, the model of the previous generation is still on sale.
