Russian VW Polo Will Become A Liftback

Volkswagen has revealed the first information about the new generation of Russian Polo. Also published design sketches, which can be used to make a general impression of the exterior and interior of the model.

• The Russian Volkswagen Polo will receive a completely new "liftback" body with a trunk lid that rises along with the glass. The Polo will grow in length by 93 mm (up to 4483 mm), in width - by 7 mm (up to 1706 mm), in height - by 17 mm (up to 1484 mm). The volume of the trunk will increase from 460 to 550 liters.
• Inside the Polo, the multimedia system (with a 6.5 or 8.25-inch screen) and the central ventilation vents are swapped. The list of equipment will include a keyless entry system, a digital instrument panel, heated steering wheel and all seats.
• The new Volkswagen Polo will be available in four trim levels: Origin, Respect, Status and Exclusive. Already in the basic version, the headlights and lights will be LED.
• The range of petrol engines will remain unchanged. In Russia, Polo will be offered with an atmospheric 1.6 in versions for 90 and 110 forces (with a five-speed "mechanics" and a six-speed "automatic"), as well as with a 125-horsepower 1.4-liter turbo engine and a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches.

The date of the premiere of the serial Volkswagen Polo of the new generation is still kept secret.
