Do you think two-story Hummers with a dance floor in place of the trunk are the top of limousine shocking? No matter how it is - in the world there are much brighter representatives of the endangered family of limousines. Although many of them look like victims of a failed experiment.

Usually, after tuning the Mazda RX-7, they increase in width, but here it is a completely different case. Such a "Ryksa" will definitely not go unnoticed on the road: how often are two-seater coupes turned into limousines?

The RX-7 was lengthened by installing a tubular cage based on NASCAR roll cages. Body panels, in turn, are made of composite materials. The entrance to the resulting passenger compartment is through a single gull-wing door, which is located on the right side of the body.

In addition to the increased length, the RX-7 acquired a pair of Pettit Motorsport tuners, due to which Mazda's twin-turbo rotary piston engine began to produce more than 300 horsepower. Thanks to the increased power, the limousine can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in a little over 5 seconds, and it takes 13.5 seconds for a quarter mile.

What are Subaru cars commonly associated with? With rally stages, spectacular drifts in the snow, MicBlue color … At worst, with the rumbling of a boxer turbo engine, which is heard long before the car appears. But hardly any limousines come to mind at the mention of Subaru.

Nevertheless, someone came up with a brilliant idea to turn the Tribeca crossover into it. The Executive Coach Builders company undertook to carry out an unusual project, which not only strengthened and lengthened the Tribecki body, but also equipped it with all the good things needed for a limousine: the cabin has a TV, a minibar, a high-quality audio system and an abundance of wood panels.

And although the front and rear axles of the crossover were almost in different time zones, this car even retained all-wheel drive - as well as a five-speed "automatic" and a 3.6-liter "boxer". Now an unusual limousine is on sale in Nick’s Motor Sales for 35 thousand dollars (2.2 million rubles), but there is a premonition that the seller will have to drop the price. And more than once.

Not all strange limousines exist in a single copy - for example, the unusual Samand Sarir was produced from 2006 until recently. And even someone bought it.

The Sarir limousine was an extended version of the Samand sedan, which, in turn, was built on the basis of the ancient Peugeot 405. The engine was matched to the platform - a 1.8-liter inline-four with a capacity of 110 horsepower, which corresponded only to the environmental class of Euro- 3. On any eight-speed "automatic" also did not have to count - only a five-speed "mechanics", only hardcore.

What then attracted buyers to this extremely unusual car? First, an interesting price: are there many new limousines in the world whose cost does not reach 20 thousand dollars? Secondly, Sarir was well equipped: screens of a multimedia system in the headrests, a DVD player, leather trim - all this the Iranian flagship offered already in the basic version! But even official photos show that the quality of the fit leaves much to be desired health and happiness.

Due to the fact that Gelenevagen has a frame structure, limousines on its base are often found - perhaps there is not a single million-plus city in the world where there would be no indecently long Gelik. But this limousine is different from the others. Because its "limousine" essence is not immediately evident.

The project is called Big One and is based on the 2016 G63 AMG. For the first time, "Big Man" was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in 2017, and since then the car has run over about a thousand kilometers. These kilometers hardly fell off-road: after the length of the G-Class grew by a good 75 centimeters, its off-road ability clearly deteriorated. But notice how elegantly these 75 centimeters of length were inscribed: there are no spacers and additional windows - all the side panels and the roof just stretched out, as if in a graphic editor.

Only ten cars were produced, and this copy is now on sale - for 499,800 euros (34 million 463 thousand rubles). The package includes a rear row styling in the style of the 222 S-Class, two screens for the second row, and a mighty 5.5-liter supercharged V8 engine.

It is difficult to think of a car more unsuitable for a limousine than a two-seater roadster that looks like a hot rod. However, somewhere in the world, a man decided that a very long Prowler was a sensible idea and made it.

All in all, admire: Prowler limousine. Then there were a couple of additional doors that open against the course, as well as a full-fledged passenger compartment with two rows of seats located opposite each other. For the entertainment of passengers, small screens and a powerful audio system are provided.

The creators of the car were so confused that they made two roofs for it - a rigid one, made of fiberglass, and a fabric one, like on a regular Prowler. In 2009, an unusual custom was sold on eBay, but for what amount he left (and whether he left at all) is unknown.

For the 2004 Olympic Games, which were held in Athens, BMW (together with a custom studio from Los Angeles) prepared an extraordinary concept car. Its length reached six meters, it had three axles, and instead of a trunk, the concept received a mini-pool in which two people could splash. And all would be fine, but the base for the limousine was not a BMW 7 or X5, but a Mini Cooper S. The one that initially has a length of 3.5 meters.

In addition to the pool, the XXL concept received a minibar, TV, DVD player, separate climate control for second-row passengers, a panoramic roof, and a telephone that could both call mobile numbers and talk to the driver.

After the Olympic Games, Mini XXL went on a big world tour. No serious damage happened to the car during the tour.

Rich Weissenell from Chicago is a true fan of DeLorean cars. He loves these cars so much that he simply cannot imagine himself driving any other. Therefore, Rich prefers to appear everywhere on DMC 12: on asphalt, off-road … and even on water.

Weissenell owns six DeLorians, each of which is unique in its own way: the collection includes an ordinary coupe, a convertible, and a monster truck, and a replica of a time machine from the movie "Back to the Future-2". And also - a hovercraft (yes, also based on DMC 12) and, of course, a limousine.

The latter has three pairs of gullwing doors and is 7.9 meters long, but due to the nature of the transmission, it can only take six passengers on board. All the same, it will be enough to jump into the future or the past as a family.

There are already enough interesting projects based on Model S: there are station wagons and hearses … But "how do you like that, Elon Musk"? Limousine based on Model S P85. The all-new 150-mile (240 kilometers) car was cut in half, stretched neatly, and then put up for sale. And you know what? No one expressed a desire to buy it - even though the project was 90 percent complete and the seller promised to complete it completely if someone agreed to buy the car.

And the money for such a radical copy was not requested cosmic (by the standards of prices for new Tesla) - only 65,100 dollars (4 million 70 thousand rubles). However, there were no volunteers.

Most of the Ferrari limousines that are in Russia or in the near abroad are stretched Peugeot 406 Coupe, dressed up to look like Italian "stallions". But there are also limousines based on genuine Ferraris! And one of them lives in California …

And this car is living proof that making a limousine out of a Ferrari is the most idiotic idea you can think of. Think about it: the car was purchased in a "slightly used" condition for 98,650 dollars, after which 400 thousand were invested in it, which went to lengthen the wheelbase, new body panels, seats, screens and other attributes of similar cars. And then the owner tried to sell the limousine.

And you know what? Nobody offered more than $ 104,400 for a unique Ferrari. Of course, the author of the masterpiece found this amount insultingly low. But we, frankly, are surprised that someone was ready to give more than 100 thousand for THIS …

It's hard to imagine a brighter car painted black. It's a damn Batmobile in the back of a limousine! And even on Mars he would have gathered a crowd of onlookers around him!

There is always little reliable information about such projects, but something is still known about the Batmobile-limousine. From the obvious, his look was inspired by the Batmobile from the Tim Burton movie. From the less obvious: the circular air intakes on the sides of the car are the speakers that allow the Batmobile to appear as effective as possible.

Rumor has it that the starting point for the car was a Chevrolet Corvette. And that over $ 4 million was spent on the entire project. Hard to believe, but anything can be.
