The third-generation Nissan Qashqai crossover will debut in September 2020. Details about the model managed to find out the edition of Autocar.
The new Qashqai will retain the current CMF platform, slightly increase in size and get a more aggressive look in the style of the Nissan IMq concept car unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Some of the design elements of the prototype will be borrowed by the "second" Juke.
- The interior of the Nissan Qashqai will change dramatically. Instead of an analog dashboard and physical buttons, digital dashboards and touchpads will appear. It is also expected that the display of the multimedia system will become larger.
- The 1.5 and 1.7 diesel engines available for Qashqai in Europe will disappear from the lineup. Hybrid modifications will be offered instead. There will be a version with recharging batteries from external sources, as well as a version with the ePower system, in which the wheels are rotated by an electric motor, and the gasoline engine works as a generator for the battery.
Also in 2020, the new Nissan X-Trail will debut, the prototypes of which have already been met by photo spies. It is planned that a larger crossover will be presented in the summer.
