Who knows what will happen next? The owner of the fastest Audi RS Q8 thought of drowning an expensive purchase a couple of weeks after leaving the salon. Do you think he acted on purpose? Rather, he became a victim of unfortunate circumstances. Just like the rest of the losers in our selection. Rather, almost everything …
Netherlands. Audi RS Q8
How this happened is not completely clear. But the "Audi pride" drowned in the channel (600 forces, 3.8 seconds to a hundred, 305 km / h, Nurburgring record) was taken out by a manipulator for three hours. Most likely, the accident was caused by the speed and violent temper of the German crossover, which did not manage to submit to the owner in two weeks of a vivid acquaintance. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Unfortunately, a very expensive purchase drowned: about 14 million rubles for the crossover itself and another three and a half for options.
Croatia. Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG
This is not an attempt to reshoot the legendary scene from Bondiana in modern scenery, but the result of a selfie while driving. And behind the wheel were vacationers from Germany - and they are all safe and sound. Only the photo didn't work. And the 585-strong German sports coupe can no longer run along the azure Adriatic.
Texas, USA. Bugatti Veyron
Usually, a thousand-strong Bugatti rush into the water for a simple reason: the driver is distracted for a moment and desperately does not understand what could have gone wrong. But this case is special, since the owner of the Veyron for a million dollars of the then drowned the hypercar quite deliberately: the poor fellow wanted money.
Although in the beginning it was not like that. According to Andy House himself, he lost control due to … a pelican suddenly caught in the way. While talking on the phone at that moment, the owner got confused and, in order not to collide with a bird, drove into the water. As it turned out later, the entire incident was planned - to manipulate insurance payments. And even the W16 engine was not muffled in the water, which is why it quickly went out of order. By a court decision, the unfortunate Andy went to jail for 12 months, and the pelican remained a beautiful story about an ugly scam.
Netherlands. Bmw i8
A much stranger story: a brand new BMW i8 is floating in a container full of water. What is it like? It turns out that everything is simple: the sports hybrid caught fire, and right in the car dealership. And the firefighters who arrived at the call did not find anything better than filling a special container with water and drowning the whole car. However, there really is no better solution, since the burning of lithium-ion batteries is like a chain reaction, and it is difficult to stop it even under water. And even when this can be done, an observer must be attached to the machine for at least a day - so as not to miss a possible resumption of combustion.
According to firefighters, it is most effective to drown the car and keep it under water during these very days. There is no need to talk about the side effects of the procedure, but the fire will definitely not happen again.
Cannes. Lamborghini Huracan
"When your high heel slips off the brake pedal, Lamborghini is in the pool." This is how the model, Instagram diva and part-time ex-wife of footballer Neymar Soraya Vuchelic spoke about her short trip. What can I say, the Serbian racer has a fairly wide entrance to the backyard, since not a single heel broke, and the Huracan Spyder presented to her after a dashing splashdown turned out to be intact and only slightly dented. I got off easily, but there are not enough pictures.
Russia and Holland. Two Nissan GT-R
Plot number one: Krasnodar, ditch, almost brand new Geter. Plot number two: Netherlands, a wider ditch and the same model, but in a different color. It seems that sports cars are lucky - at least half. The owners, fortunately, both here and there escaped with fright and only a sense of bitterness - after all, before getting into the water, their sports cars were among the fastest in the area. So one-one or zero-based? But the bank account is soggy anyway …
