Video: VW Has Produced More Sausages Than Cars. Again

Volkswagen sausages have once again sold in a larger circulation than the brand's cars. In 2019, one factory in Wolfsburg, Germany, produced 6.8 million sausages, and more than 60 auto enterprises produced 6.2 million cars of the brand. The host of The Grand Tour Richard Hammond told about this in his program Richard Hammond's Big.

- Branded sausages called Volkswagen Currywurst appeared in 1973. Initially, they were produced only for the company's own canteens, but later they went on public sale.
- In the manufacturing process, Volkswagen sausages go through beech smoke smoking and 1.5-hour steaming at a temperature of 350 degrees Celsius. The main secret of the most popular product of the company is a spicy seasoning, the composition of which is not revealed to anyone.
-
The sausages even have a branded article, like car parts, - 199 398 500 A. In European supermarkets, they ask for about 11 euros (757 rubles) for a kilogram pack of five pieces. Volkswagen sausages are not supplied to Russia.
