The Association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD) has proposed to introduce large fines for twisting the mileage of cars. The head of the association, Oleg Moseev, told the agency "Moscow" about this.
- Now in the Russian legislation there is no punishment specifically for the twisting of the run. According to Moseev, theoretically they could be fined 500 rubles for this, but in fact no one does it. ROAD wants to increase the fine to 300,000 rubles for individuals and up to 1,000,000 rubles for companies that offer odometer correction services.
- Among other ideas, it was proposed to oblige IT companies, for example, Yandex and Google, to remove information about proposals for rolling mileage in cars from search results. While there are many advertisements on the Internet with similar services.
At the same time, ROAD noted that it is currently impossible to introduce penalties for curling mileage for car owners due to the lack of a single database. Also, the association suggested that all professional market participants record information about the machines.
