Tesla Will Start Delivering Astronauts To & Nbsp; Rockets

The TeslModel X electric crossover has become the official NAS vehicle for transporting astronauts to the launch pad for SpaceX's manned rockets. This was reported by the Associated Press.

• For the first time, a white TeslModel X electro-crossover vehicle delivered two astronauts to a rocket while training the crew evacuation system on the Crew Dragon. The choice in favor of Tesla is expected, because the manufacturer of electric vehicles and aerospace company SpaceX has one owner - billionaire Elon Musk.

• Since 1984, American astronauts have been transported to the launch site in an Airstream Excella van based on the Chevrolet model. It was modified to fit comfortably in spacesuits, and later it was named Astrovan.

Private SpaceX's first manned spacecraft, the Crew Dragon, was created to send astronauts to the International Space Station. According to plans, the rocket should make its first full flight in the second quarter of 2020. However, NAS did not give permission for a test launch of the ship with people on board.
