Video: Revealed The Power Of New "charged" Golfs
A slide from the Volkswagen presentation with information about the "charged" modifications of the eighth generation Golf hatchback has appeared on the Web. The picture was posted by an Instagram user with the nickname CocheSpias.
- The new Volkswagen Golf GTI will develop 245 horsepower, and the GTI TCR version, named after the touring car championship, is boosted to 300 horsepower. Diesel GTD will be the weakest - only 201 hp. All of these hatchbacks will receive two-liter four-cylinder turbo engines and front-wheel drive.
- The top version will remain the Golf R, which in the new generation will "swing" from 300 to 333 horsepower. As before, the hot hatch will receive a two-liter petrol turbo four and four-wheel drive.
The Volkswagen Golf GTE was presented in the fall of 2019 during the debut of the model. The 245-horsepower hybrid modification with the ability to recharge from an external network received a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine, a 13 kWh battery, and a six-speed "robot" with two clutches and an integrated electric motor.
- The Volkswagen Golf GTI, GTI TCR and GTD are rumored to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2020. The R version will debut separately at the UK Goodwood Festival of Speed in July.
