Video: It Will Be Possible To Register An Accident In Russia With The Help Of One Button
From 2021, a simplified system of road traffic accidents according to the European protocol will appear in Russia (when only two cars are involved without injuries and serious damage). To transmit data about the accident to the traffic police and the insurance company, you will only need to press the button of the Era-Glonass emergency response system. The head of the Russian Union of Auto Insurers (RSA) Igor Yurgens told Izvestia about this.
- In order not to photograph damages of cars and not to fill in contact information, the cars should be equipped with "Era-Glonass" with extended functionality, but which one, Yurgens did not specify. For cars with the basic Era-Glonass, the system will have to be updated to gain access to new features.
- By mid-2020, RSA will begin to prepare documentation for the development of a program for simplified registration of accidents. With its help, the data recorded by the car will be transferred to the insurance company for calculating payments.
Since November 1, 2019, the mobile application "Compulsory MTPL Assistant" has been launched in Russia, which allows you to issue an accident according to the European protocol through public services. To do this, you need to upload photos from the accident scene and a hand-drawn diagram of the accident into the application, and the data required for the insurance will come from the application's personal account. If there are pictures from the accident site, the maximum compensation for damage will be 400,000 rubles. Without them, the payment limit is reduced to 100,000 rubles.
