Birdman producer John Lescher met with ex-head of the Renault-Nissan alliance Carlos Ghosn and discussed a possible film adaptation of his escape from house arrest in Japan. As it became known to the Daily Mail, the film may be released on the streaming service Netflix.

- Carlos Ghosn himself is not going to publicly disclose the details of the escape, but, according to some sources, he moved from Tokyo to Osaka, where he boarded a private plane and after a transfer in Turkey ended up in Beirut. For some time, the businessman had to hide in a box for transporting musical equipment, in which holes for ventilation had been made in advance. According to rumors, 15 former US military personnel participated in organizing the plan and implementing the escape, and the entire operation cost Ghosn several million dollars.
-
Carlos Ghosn, who has three citizenships - Lebanese, French and Brazilian, fled Japan to Lebanon on December 31. In the fall of 2018, a Japanese court accused him of misappropriating Renault-Nissan funds. Gon was threatened with imprisonment for up to 10 years, but only the consideration of the case, according to lawyers, could drag on for at least five years. Ghosn denied all accusations, and after his escape he has already given several interviews exposing the Japanese management style.
- Later, the Lebanese authorities banned Ghosn from leaving the country, and also requested all materials related to the charges brought against the ex-head of the Renault-Nissan alliance.
