New Chevrolet Tahoe Turned Into A Luxury SUV

The GMC brand of General Motors, under which more expensive versions of Chevrolet pickups and SUVs are offered in North America, has declassified the fifth-generation Yukon frame SUV. As before, it is based on the same platform as the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban.

• GMC Yukon is offered in standard (5334 mm length) and XL version (5720 mm). So far, the Yukon is presented in two versions: the luxurious Denali and the off-road AT4. They have different grilles and bumpers. The novelty differs from the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban in the front part with large LED headlights and rear optics, which for the first time in the history of the model partially "climbed" on the tailgate.
• In the AT4 version, GMC shares the interior architecture with the Chevrolet Tahoe: the only difference is the logo on the steering wheel. And the Yukon Denali now has a unique leather and wood front fascia, where the center vents and the infotainment display have been swapped.

• The GMC Yukon engine range includes a three-liter inline six-cylinder turbodiesel with a capacity of 281 hp. (623 Nm) and two gasoline naturally aspirated V8s: a 5.3-liter with 360 hp. (519 Nm), as well as a 6.2-liter 426 hp. (623 Nm). All motors are combined with a ten-speed "automatic". The basic drive is rear. Optionally available complete with front wheel drive clutch and lowering.
• The GMC Yukon's equipment list includes 22-inch wheels, air suspension, nine-camera all-round vision system, 15-inch head-up display, panoramic roof, wireless smartphone charging and two 12.6-inch monitors mounted on the front seat backs. The large box between the front seats can now be moved 254 millimeters back.

The fifth-generation GMC Yukon will go on sale in the US at the same time as the Chevrolet Tahoe / Suburban - in the summer of 2020. A little earlier, on February 4, the co-platform Cadillac Escalade will be presented at a special event in Los Angeles.
