  • The European vehicle fleet of Yandex.Drive service will consist of electric cars only. In 2020, the launch in Europe will take place in test mode, and by the end of the year there will be 1,000 electric vehicles.
  • The city where the testing of the service will take place has not yet been precisely determined. According to Ryazanov, the location should provide the most favorable conditions for electric vehicles, so Madrid and Copenhagen, as well as some cities in France and Italy, are being considered.

Yandex.Drive was launched in Russia in 2018 and now has the largest car fleet in the country among car-sharing companies - more than 21,000 cars, according to the Financial Times. Among them there are passenger models KiRio X-Line, Renault Kaptur, SkodRapid and Octavia, Volkswagen Polo, premium Genesis G70, Audi A3 and Q3, BMW 3 and 5 series, Mercedes-Benz C- and E-class, Porsche 911, Macan and Panamera as well as Volkswagen Trasporter and Citroen Jumpy commercial vans. Also in Moscow, 30 electric Nissan Leaf hatchbacks are available for rent.
