New Toyota RAV4 Set A Sales Record In & Nbsp; Russia

In December 2019, the new generation ToyotRAV4 crossover set a personal sales record of 4,964 copies. If we take the statistics of new car sales in Russia in November 2019 as a basis, then the RAV4 would rank fifth in popularity in the Russian market. There are no sales figures for December yet.

• Since the start of sales of the new ToyotRAV4, that is, since the end of October 2019, 8389 crossovers have been sold in Russia. The model's performance for the whole of 2019 is 30,627 units, and in the most successful month (December), sales increased by 27.4 percent compared to December 2018.
• In Russia, the most popular modification of the RAV4 has become a medium-sized “Comfort” crossover with a 150-horsepower two-liter gasoline engine and a CVT. A total of 2,411 such vehicles were sold - about 30 percent of the total. The cost of this modification starts at 1,980,000 rubles.

In December 2019, the new generation ToyotRAV4 won the Car of The Year Japan 2019-2020 competition, beating the Mazda3 and BMW 3 Series families (290 points). For Toyot, this is the eighth victory in the history of the award, and the last time the third generation Prius hybrid hatchback received the main award in 2009.
