In Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, a capsule with a Plymouth Prowler roadster was buried for 50 years. This happened back in 1998, when the car was new, but the forgotten event was remembered only now: one of the users of the Reddit portal came across an old article in the local press.

- The roadster was buried in one of the parks in honor of the 100th anniversary of the city. The new Plymouth Prowler ended up underground in a sealed 0.5 "(12.7 millimeters) thick aluminum box. Together with the car, student projects, CDs with music and a cell phone were placed in a large capsule.

For the first time in Tulsa, a new car was buried for half a century in 1957 in honor of the 50th anniversary of Oklahoma - at that time the creation of "time capsules" was very popular, including in the USSR. Then the Plymouth Belvedere coupe turned out to be in the concrete sarcophagus, but upon opening it in 2007 it was found that the capsule (its creators claimed that it would withstand a nuclear strike) was flooded with water, which caused the car to be seriously damaged.
The Plymouth Prowler has been underground for 22 years now, and the aluminum capsule will be opened in 2048. There is no information about the current state of the roadster.
