Chinese Sedan Hongqi H9 Introduced. Rolls-Royce Designer Worked On His Appearance

The premium brand Hongqi ("Red Banner"), owned by the Chinese concern FAW, has declassified the H9 executive sedan. Giles Taylor, the former chief designer of Rolls-Royce, worked on his appearance, who took a similar position with the Chinese in 2018.

• The Hongqi H9 is the first production model of the brand created by Taylor. The sedan is reminiscent of Rolls-Royce with a two-tone body paint, headlights design, a massive radiator grille with vertical slats and lighting. The H9 features retractable door handles and large lights connected by an LED strip.
• The Hongqi H9's interior is trimmed with genuine leather, wood veneer and polished aluminum, with wool rugs on the floor. The front panel has two large monitors for the dashboard and multimedia system, and the engine start button is located between the climate control washers.
• In the equipment of the Chinese sedan, air suspension, adaptive cruise control, separate seats in the second row with electric adjustments, heating and ventilation, additional monitors for passengers, a panoramic roof and an air aromatization function are declared.

• The H9 is built on a new platform with a longitudinal engine and rear wheel drive. Engines available to choose from, only gasoline turbocharged - two-liter four-cylinder with a capacity of 252 hp. (380 Nm) and a three-liter V6 with 272 hp. (400 Nm). They are combined with a robotic dual-clutch transmission. The most powerful sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in less than eight seconds.

Chinese sales of Hongqi H9 will begin in May 2020. The company promised that all the following models of the brand will be made in the same style as the new sedan.
