In Scandinavia, photo spies spotted an auto transporter carrying a camouflaged prototype of the Komendant SUV with temporary rear optics along with the Russian Aurus Senat sedan and the Arsenal minivan. Pictures were published by Motor1.

• Aurus Komendant is made in the style of other models of the brand and, according to eyewitnesses, is comparable in size to the Senat sedan, whose length is 5630 millimeters. It turns out that the Russian SUV is much larger than the Mercedes-Maybach GLS (5205 mm) and Rolls-Royce Cullinan (5341 mm).

• It is expected that the Aurus Komendant will be equipped with a petrol 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with 598 hp. (880 Nm), an electric motor producing in different modes from 38 to 63 forces, a nine-speed "automatic" and all-wheel drive. This technique is also used on other models of the premium brand.
• The official premiere of the Aurus Komendant will take place at the Moscow Motor Show in August 2020. The start of serial production of the SUV was recently postponed for a year - until 2022. The model will be produced at the Sollers group plant in the Alabuga special economic zone in Tatarstan.
